From the Portland area and points South:

• I-95 North to Augusta exit 113 following signs to Belfast and Rt. 3
• Follow Rt. 3 East to Belfast
• In Belfast, take left onto Rt. 1 North
• On Rt. 1 North go approximately 14 miles
• Turn right onto Steamboat Wharf Rd (across from the Rocky Ridge Motel)
• Take first right onto Hersey Retreat Road
• French's Point is approximately ^1/2 mile at the end of the road

From the Bangor area and points North:

• I-95 south to exit 174, Rt.69
• Follow Rt. 69 south to Winterport (approximately 11 miles)
• Turn right onto Rt. 1A south
• Continue until you reach Rt.1 and follow north towards Ellsworth
• Go approximately 2.2 miles
• Turn right onto Steamboat Wharf Rd. (across from the Rocky Ridge Motel)
• Take first right onto Hersey Retreat Road
• French's Point is approximately ^1/2 mile at the end of the road
