- Vendors on our Preferred Vendor Directory do not pay commission to French’s Point. This list is carefully curated, simply to ensure you can assemble an exceptional team of vendors for your celebration.
- Planners, Caterers & Bar Service Providers MUST be hired from our Preferred Vendor Directory because vendors in these categories of service must have experience with French’s Point & knowledge specific to the estate to ensure a successful outcome for your event.
- Except for the Planner, Caterer & Bar Service Provider, all other vendors are NOT required to be hired from the Preferred Vendor Directory.
- All vendors must carry liability insurance, sign a release of liability form & carry applicable licenses in the State of Maine.

French’s Point is located in the heart of the mid coast region. Visitors have access to some of Maine’s best restaurants, shops, galleries, & recreational activities. Explore the quintessential coastal village & towns of Belfast, Blue Hill, Bucksport, Camden, Castine, Ellsworth, & Searsport.
Fly into Boston MA (BOS), Portsmouth NH (PSM), Portland ME (PWM), or Bangor International Airport (BGR), a short 40-minute drive from French’s Point. Because the area is ripe with attractions in every direction, the mid coast is best enjoyed by car.
Bus, taxi, & car services are also available in the region, with advanced reservation.

To ensure ease & availability, these service should be scheduled in advance of your arrival to French’s Point.

Because French’s Point is a vacation rental estate, we supply you with a list of items we supply by home and items we suggest you pack for your stay. This packing list will help maximize the enjoyment of your stay.
You are welcome to rent golf carts for the duration of your stay through Goudreau & Sons Golf Carts, LLC. If you do so, please inform us & schedule their delivery & pickup times during your rental term.
For your safety, we ask that golf carts be driven only on established gravel pathways, only by non-drinking guests & remain at low speeds at all times. Please do not drive during quiet hours. We reserve the right to take ownership of the keys if we see necessary.
You & your guests are welcome to bring your pets to join your celebration weekend at French’s Point.
With the proper consideration & planning, a well-behaved pet can make a memorable & adorable addition to the ceremony, but you must decide what makes sense for your celebration, & your pet. Please review the Pet Policy & let French’s Point know if you plan to include your pet.
French’s Point offers 6 outdoor fire pit locations, which are a wonderful element to enjoy during your stay. They enhance the overall weekend experience & offer the opportunity to create cozy, meaningful moments, & delicious s’mores!

Every vendor listed in our Directory has worked an event at French’s Point at least once prior, & we have had an exceptionally positive experience with that vendor. Our “Featured” level vendors on our list are those that we work alongside most frequently, provide top quality products or services & provide excellent communication as well.
All listed vendors in our guide agree to be listed in our directory. We understand that not all businesses align in policy & clientele, so it’s important to us that the vendors listed all find value in working alongside us, our clients, & they feel comfortable & valued here.
All listed vendors must agree & meet the requirements of the below Vendor Policy:

French’s Point is a vacation rental estate, allowing you to check yourself in at the time indicated by your hosts. When you arrive, there will be room assignments posted in the entryway of each home, floor plans of the home you are in, and a map of the estate. Your name will be hanging on a sign on your suite. Keys to the suites will be in your door upon arrival, if your Hosts chose to provide suite keys.
During your stay, you will find each home has a variety of basic amenities and you can find a list of those on The Estate page of the website. Check out is at 11:00am on Sunday & guests are expected to remove all personal items, trash & recycling upon departure. Please read through the Reservation Agreement for more information on check in, during your stay, and check out details.
House Captains have been selected by your Hosts to fill the role for the weekend reservation. As such, you are the primary point of contact & source of information for the guests lodging within each home at the estate & the liaison with the Hosts, the Wedding Planner, & French’s Point.
If you would like to continue the celebration after your reception ends at 10pm, there are nearby Private Party locations that can be found in our Stay Enhancement Guide.
But, if you don’t want to host an After Party at one of these nearby private party locations, & you’re concerned that your guests won’t want the celebration to end – don’t worry! You can now host an After Party onsite right here at French’s Point!
