Extend Your Time, Enrich Your Stay

Congratulations! You’ve decided to host your wedding weekend at French’s Point. Once you have had the opportunity to work with your wedding planner to create a flow for your weekend itinerary, you should consider extending your stay. If your goal for the weekend is to have a wedding weekend that feels like a vacation & a reunion, with a wedding at the heart of the experience, an extended stay is the key to success. The longer you & your guests are here, the more relaxed the overall experience will be & the more like a vacation it will be for you all.

In addition to the minimum stay of Noon Friday- Noon Sunday, you can choose to add Wednesday & Thursday night to the start of your stay in one, two, or three homes, at the nightly lodging rate listed in your reservation contract. You can also extend your stay by adding Sunday night to your reservation, in one home. There are many benefits to allowing more time at the estate: 

• Time to unload, unpack, & deliver your event items to their intended location before events begin & the broader group of guests arrive.
• Time to get your wedding gown or other attire steamed. Contact Betty in advance at Somebody Loves Me Bridal (207)-596-5505 to schedule this service.
• Time to go to the town office to get your marriage license. The town office is only open Monday-Thursday 9am-5pm. They are closed on Friday. 
• Time to pick up supplies & stock the homes.
• Time to deliver your welcome bags to your guests’ suites before they arrive.
• Time to unwind, relax with a glass of wine, & take in the ocean views before the festivities begin.
• Time with your closest family & friends before your extended guests arrive.
• Time to experience & explore the region’s villages & coastal attractions, & make a vacation out of your time here.
• If you decide to extend your stay Sunday night, it allows you the opportunity to catch your breath after your wedding celebration, before you depart for your next adventure.
• Please note, when planning your stay extension, for safety & sanitation purposes, guest room assignments cannot be swapped between guests during the reservation.
