1. How do I book a wedding at French’s Point?

To secure your date, we require an executed digital contract & a non-refundable reservation retainer. We will guide you through the process, answer your questions, & ensure you feel confident every step of the way. We pride ourselves in our transparency & the resulting  confidence it will provide you when you reserve with us. Once booked, we’ll provide a comprehensive planning guide to help you start crafting your dream wedding weekend.

2. What event spaces are available at French’s Point?

French’s Point features 15 indoor & outdoor event &  gathering spaces, providing versatility to accommodate seasonality & weather. These spaces are perfect for creating a dynamic wedding weekend, allowing you to host different events in unique settings. For example, you might choose Bluff’s Edge Gazebo for your vows, the South Terrace for a cocktail hour, & the Sailcloth Tent for a stunning reception. 3. What is provided with the reservation?

When you reserve French’s Point:

1. Venue Rent provides exclusive access to the entire estate, including all event spaces, event amenities, & equipment to support your celebrations. We provide an abundant list of foundational event equipment to support your events. Customize the aesthetic & personalize the design through our preferred rental & event design partners! 
2. Lodging Rate provides exclusive reservation of our 26 luxury suites  on-site lodging in our three beautifully appointed homes, accommodating up to 60 guests. It also provides access to our fire pits, private beach, stunning relaxation & recreation spaces & amenities.

4. Are there specific policies we need to know about?

To ensure a smooth experience for all, we have a few key policies:

• Noise Ordinances: Music must conclude by 10 PM due to local regulations. (Ask us about After Party Extension Options)
• Capacity Limits: The estate comfortably hosts celebrations of 40 to 200 guests for events & up to 60 guests for overnight lodging.
• Vendor Insurance & Licensing: All vendors must provide proof of insurance & be licensed for the service they provide if required in the State of Maine. Our team will provide a detailed policy guide upon booking.

5. Can we choose our own vendors?

We’ve curated a list of trusted preferred vendors who are familiar with our property & committed to providing exceptional service. This network includes caterers, planners, florists, & all the services you may want or need for your wedding weekend & will help make your day seamless. Planners, Caterers & Bar Service providers must be hired from our Preferred Vendor Directory because vendors in these categories of service must have experience with French’s Point & knowledge specific to the estate to ensure a successful outcome for your event. If you prefer to work with outside vendors for all other categories of services, they are welcome as long as they meet our insurance & licensing requirements. 6. What local accommodations are available for guests?

In addition to the on-site lodging at French’s Point, there are several charming inns, hotels, & many vacation rentals nearby in our Lodging Guide. There is local lodging available to suit each of your guests preferences & budgets. 

7. What is the cancellation or rescheduling policy?

Due to the limited number of available dates, all deposits are non-refundable. 

8. How far in advance should we book?

French’s Point is a sought-after venue, & popular dates fill up quickly. We recommend booking 12-18 months in advance for peak seasons. However, if you’re planning a shorter timeline, we occasionally have last-minute availability.

9. What support do you offer throughout the planning process?

Our team is here to support you for the duration of the process. From answering initial questions, to providing recommendations for trusted vendors, we’re dedicated to making your planning experience stress-free & enjoyable. We also provide access to planning tools & resources to keep you organized & inspired.

10. Can we host additional events on the property?

Absolutely! French’s Point is perfect for multi-day celebrations. Many couples host rehearsal dinners, welcome cocktail parties, or farewell wedding brunches on-site to maximize their time with loved ones. Additionally, for those seeking a vacation-style experience for their guests, there is an option to extend your stay, subject to availability.
